Mine is a face in the crowd. A face among many faces which everyday we come across in this world of virtual reality and which we eventually forget. Mine is also a face to forget. Yet, we feel the urge to know something about the person behind the face. So we need to say something of our own. Writing about myself I find the most difficult job to do around. I often wonder what to tell about myself. Look, as my age suggests I am an elderly person having my family to look after. I work in a pretty respectable position in a government service, which earns me my livelihood. I am surely not an atheist but I am not much a religious kind of a person too. I try to be honest because honesty works well. I like to speak truth because there is a lot of hassle in managing a lie. I try to fulfill my social commitments within my level best. I strongly detest being dictated. Freedom of speech is my greatest possession. I am neither too poor nor too rich. I have my needs to fulfill but for fulfilling my needs I am never ready to do just anything. Here I almost look like an idiot. But I’m undone.I started writing poems only a year ago from June 2008 before when I never knew that would ever be writing a poem.Who read my poems in poemhunter.com encouraged me to write more and went on writing till they become 100.Now I place them before you to tell me if I become a poet at all.I understand my English knowledge is not adequate to express emotions.Yet I try to reach you with my feelings as much as I can.Your words of encouragement shall surely help me decide if I should continue to write more poems.
