Revisiting a dream

Driver, break.
I have something to tell.
Not to you man,wait
I have to discuss
something with my own.

See the road, side-walks,trails
through the tea gardens old
rubber plantations new.
See the people
see the herd returning to home.

Same houses,line by line
besides the street
then paddy fields and again
school and other buildings
Same crowded village market.

Nothing to disbelieve.
Everything is the same
as they would become decades ago.
Am I the only alien? Driver, start
Take me to nowhere,my home.

Today will be a memorable day tomorrow

The man broken in the mirror is not me.
Must be the mirror which is broken here.
I know ins and out of this man for ages
who hates breaking for any reason whatsoever.

The man who you call a dreamer or even a loser
(in his absence of course) is not an ordinary man.
He has strong faith on his beliefs who believes
even today can be a memorable day tomorrow.

Don’t believe your eyes even if you see him dying,
A dreamer never dies, nor dies his dreams.
You got to believe if he says he has got a dream new
where he’ll make no mistake and a wonder will happen.

weathercock of a dream

Breaking my sleep in its way half
the ghosts of my dreams slip in
and sitting besides my ear holes
they make hot discussions.

They talk of their unfortunate death
in an war which was not fought well
and telling me responsible for their ill fate
they mock at my peaceful sleep.

Teasing my lost courage they push me
and pulling me out of my disappointment
they laugh at my wishes to sleep again
and insist me to fight for my forgotten dreams.

Every night they bring with them
an weathercock, which they call time
and showing me its direction to somewhere
they forecast my victory in a war.

Every night they come to break my sleep
and every night I awake a little more.
They bring the weathercock again and again
and looking at this bird I dream of an war.

The dream of last night

The dream of last night told I want
something completely different.
And I also realized
even if I got them all
this was not easy to come out breaking
the chains of hesitations and conflicts.
May be this is impossible to break.

The dream of last night told I want
something completely different.
May be in dream this is called happiness.
But I know this is not called happiness
when I’m awaking.
Even the dream of last night
was’nt a dream.
when I’m awaking
this can be called as nightmare.
But if I don’t care what people will say
I must admit
last night I did not see a nightmare too.
Why should the photographs
of suppressed wishes and wanton desires
be called as nightmares?

The dream of last night told I want
something completely different.
Something that shouldn’t be desired
when awaking.
Something that shouldn’t be got.
Something that should be forgotten.
Something that can be forgotten.
Something one can live forgetting.
Yet,
the dream of last night told I want
something completely different.

A big dream ( Pantoum )

I thought I was going to be a big shot someday.
I did not know exactly how I would become
but I would believe such will surely happen someway.
Since I was a boy I have been waiting for such day to come.

I did not know exactly how I would become
So, eagerly I would move to palmists to know my future.
Since I was a boy I have been waiting for such day to come.
They make you feel happy by delivering nice lecture.

So, eagerly I would move to palmists to know my future.
Forecasting on my bright future they’d weave beautiful stories.
They make you feel happy by delivering nice lecture.
Their words would immensely help me to forget my present worries.

But I would believe such will surely happen someway.

I believe in my dreams

Believe me, I believe in my dreams.
Many of them have expired though
I dream my dreams shall come true.

They are not my ordinary dreams.
I dream them when I am awaking.
They are all gone when I fall asleep.

You may call them my day-dreams.
I don’t bother how you look at them.
They are my much adored real friends.

I believe my dreams shall come true.
I feel their presence coming closer
while I work to shape them so well.

Forsaken dream

Related to you somewhere afar in a forsaken dream
I find myself in a frame of forgotten time and place.
In a dungeon there remains a part of me imprisoned
I reach there often to have a glimpse of our existence.

There you live with me always afresh with a smile
Which never droops apart from your face engraved
You walk with me there in a vista of forgotten past
Sit beside me and hold my hands in yours beloved.
