There was no book in the book-fair

Yes,this is true.
There was no book for me in the book-fair.
Though I was attracted to a few
not girls,books
they were very expensive.
My daughter was with me
and my aged look which goes with me
by default.
Besides
cigarettes eat a big chunk of my budget
and I have no book shelf at all.
This will be a very tall tale if I go on narrating
my excuses.
I often think I was very rich
when I was unemployed.
I don’t remember now who they were
but certainly there were quite a few ghosts
who would supply me money to buy books
which I wanted to buy.
This time I was prepared to buy some poetry
but I found
the booksellers were not conscious about me.

Folly of a lover boy

The boy had something else to tell
about some other girl
as if he was in a hurry to show
an honesty certificate must
to win over her heart.

So directly and indirectly he tried
to say his prelude to the girl.
But where on earth was a girl ever
ready to listen such a song
monotonous?

The boy was dying for the girl
as much as he died once earlier.
If never loved someone in childhood
you won’t understand how
the boy wasn’t doing everything wrong.

Rest is his fate that he loses
his soul mate to a monster called time
and also the girl he loved now
to other monster called common sense
for she had also an illiterate heart.

A shadow game

I should not write about you.
This is not wise, not decent.
Not yet illegal, though.

I don’t want to impress you.
There is no point in it.
The end of our story is already old.

Maybe I am practicing bowling.
Maybe I am checking
the ground reality of the pitch.

Does the ball bounce?
Does it spin? Or it just sleeps
when it reaches to you?

They would say, this is a shame
but no one is there around.
Not even you.

Only me and my heart,a police man
who always hunts you out
to play this shadow game.

The night of lunar eclipse

Walking miles and miles
when I reached there
on a luminous night
thirsty eyes below
and a full moon above
and someone whispering
Your journey ends here
made it all happen
in a blink of time.

She spoke to me, Luna
I spoke to her
and we spoke to each other
thourgh our open eyes
until the shadow walked
slowly veiling her face.

A dark line also walked
gradually engulfing my world.
Don’t do that
Don’t do that
I screamed and yelled
but she did not hear.

I wept so much
that my eyes were blurred
or perhaps
I became fully blind.

The last thing I saw
was a sad smile
of her corona,a proof
she still existed.

She is no more
She is no more
I cried, I cried

but none was there
to tell me it was
a night of lunar eclipse
as I turned to lunatic
by that one moonlit night.
